The term “digital print” refers to a whole class of digital printers that use toner instead of ink and that form an image through applying an electrostatic charge that attracts the toner particles and then melts them to the sheet.

Unlike offset printing which requires the expense of making plates to ink up the press, every impression on a digital press can be different creating additional new print opportunities.

With digital printing, it is possible to print an entire 200 page book all at once rather than printing individual signatures, that must be gathered with other previously printed signatures to compile a whole book.
